Earl Stewart grew up in the automobile business, inspired by his father’s dealership, Stewart Pontiac, which opened in 1937.

Although he began his career as an electrical engineer, his passion for innovation and forward thinking led him back to the automotive world.

His scientific background shaped his approach—always questioning convention and seeking better ways to serve customers.

Over the decades, he introduced groundbreaking practices that set Earl Stewart Toyota apart, including eliminating dealer fees, implementing a one-price selling philosophy, his renowned Earl Stewart Code, and installing the dealership’s iconic Red Phones, which allow customers to contact him directly.

These decisions reflected his unwavering belief in honesty, transparency, and accountability.

While the automotive industry has transformed dramatically, Earl Stewart’s core philosophy has never changed: treat customers with courtesy, honesty, and respect. This commitment has earned the loyalty of generations of customers and helped build a dealership known for integrity.

More than 50 years later, Earl Stewart Toyota stands as a testament to Mr. Stewart’s commitment to trust, innovation, and doing business the right way. What began as a bold risk in 1975 has become a lasting legacy—one built on earning customers for life.
