Its base engine is a i-Force 4.6L V8 that delivers a commanding 310 hp and 327 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission setup. Get even more bang for your buck with an available i-Force 5.7L V8 that produces a staggering 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque.

Properly equipped versions of the Tundra with the 4.7L V8 can tow up to 4,600 pounds. The upgraded 5.7L V8 engine tacks on a Tow package with additional engine and transmission oil coolers for heavy-duty capabilities rated up to 10,500 pounds. And buyers looking for major off-road capabilities will want to check out the TRD Off-Road package, which includes 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, a suspension tuned for off-road performance, skid plates, tow hooks, and a rear privacy glass.

Trims and Features

You’ll have a variety of trim options to choose from on this full-size pickup truck:

• SR – Even the base trim comes standard with high-tech features like a 6.1-inch Entune™ infotainment touchscreen, Bluetooth® phone and audio, and a rearview camera.
• SR5 – The SR5 features a larger, 7-inch touchscreen with satellite and HD Radio, as well as traffic updates and a navigation app.
• TRD Pro – Move up to the TRD Pro, and you’ll get off-road capabilities like Bilstein shocks, off-road tires, and bigger wheels. Other features include a power driver’s seat, standard parking sensors, and blind spot monitoring.
• Limited – The Limited trim raises you up onto 20-inch wheels and provides an abundance of luxury, including leather upholstery and ambient cabin lighting, as well as a sunroof option.
• Platinum – Offered in the Crew Cab configuration only, the Platinum trim features heated and ventilated front seats, memorized driver functionality, and a premium 12-speaker JBL® sound system.
• 1794 Edition – The 1794 resembles the Platinum trim in most ways but adds unique interior and exterior styling.

Cab and Bed Configurations

The 2017 Toyota Tundra is available in Regular Cab, Crew Cab, and Double Cab setups, as well as a variety of bed sizes that are capable of handling your individual needs. Depending on the setup you choose for your pickup, you can get a 5.6-foot, 6.6-foot, or 8.1-foot flatbed. The Regular Cab gives you more flexibility and provides standard seating for three passengers. The Double Cab and Crew Cab models both offer surprisingly spacious interiors and include seating for up to six passengers.
